Care giving duties will commence from the day the student arrives in Australia until the contract expires.
Le Le Wang Student Care welcome parents and students to discuss with us the possibilities on extending our care giving contracts.
Services we provide to parents and students:
- Assistance with initial settlement on the day of arrival
- An initial visit to the Student’s residence and orientation briefing about living in Australia
- Advice about safe travel from his/her residence to the school, remind homestay to take the student to school and back to residence
- Assist the student in establishing a bank account and provide financial advice
- Assist the student in buying a phone card
- Regular meetings with the Student
- Promptly respond to home stays and school regarding problematic behaviour of the student
- Copies of all school reports to the parent, if the school agree to release them
- Discuss the Child’s academic progress with the parents and the student based on school reports if it’s required by the student and parents
- An after-hours phone service for emergency support
- Progress reports in Chinese for students with a Chinese background
- Assisting the student finding new homestays, ensuring the student is treated fairly emotionally and financially by homestays
- If the student changes school, establish contact with the student’s new school all care giving duties will be carried out until the agreement expires
- Advise the student how to book an air ticket
- Provide consultant services for parents who wish to visit the student in Australia
- Advise the student how to rent a place and how to arrange moving if the student has turned 18
- Advise the student of pathways to find a job
- Contact the student’s parents immediately when any problem is reported by home stay or school
